There are just FAR too many photo's to upload and many exciting things to talk about. So this is the first instalment of posts dedicated to my trip to Cape Town.

First stop: Tokara Wine Estate that has an awesome and artsy tree in their entrance.

Needless to say, the gallery was closed (as were most of the estate restaurants on a Monday) yet we definitely took part in their wine tasting!

This is one of the many beautiful images I got of the scenery and sky. I have always had a strange fascination with clouds and the sky yet when the storms hit whilst walking in the Cape Point Reserve, I thought myself as quite the smart meteorologist noticing the change in the cloud formation before the rain hit!
This photo was taken on the drive out of the Le Motte Estate and I can definitely assure you that those estates pay A LOT of money to make their grounds beautiful.

OCD meets the Cape.
The image alongside shows the patio of the Glenelly Estate right near the university. Driving up the long and winding drive, it was explained how the owner of this estate is a very wealthy French lady who first bought the property to farm fruit and converted the farm to grape vineyards 6 years ago.
What struck me was that everything (every row of vine to the level at which each bunch of grapes hangs) is perfectly in line with the next row, and the next vineyard, and the adjacent field. She must have hired some seriously perfectionist groundsman! My word! It is weird, after going through all the different estates, one almost expects the vines and fields to be sort of rustic and Mediterranean after you have ventured through the manicured gardens and perfectly paved 2km driveway.
