Below are the blogs I read on a daily basis (or try to at least). If you would like to follow these (or any other blogs), have a look at Feebly - it is incredibly easy to use (and syncs with your Google Reader). I do suggest you take a look at it especially since Google Reader is closing down on the 1st June 2013.

Greatist The Greatist team have numerous writers who cover topics like:
Chris Kresser The doc who is a firm believer in health and balance in one's life.
Chris writes about some hot topics like cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, skin health and depression. It is absolutely refreshing to read articles and blog posts from a very knowledgeable health professional who is up to date with the latest scientific studies as he sheds light on many myths around disease prevention - yet maintaining his focus on health and well-being. Too often I read articles on doctors who prescribe medication for statins for anyone and everyone who has a higher-than-normal cholesterol, yet Chris explains the how and the why around medication like these and what key things to focus on when looking to be a healthier you. I cannot wait to read his latest blog post!
Lifestyle, Food and Beautiful Photography Blogs
About 6 months ago I wanted to reinvent my health and the Geek in me only knew one way to do it - read science papers. In my research I came across many blogs that covered the Paleo Diet. After believing whole-heartedly that I had "found the missing link", I realised life is about moderation - sometimes a difficult juggling act, yet one which requires our greatest attention. When I'm old I want to run circles around my grandchildren, not watch them from a sickened state from afar.
Below are the blogs I follow and still read, more for gaining more food knowledge than creating my two-week eating plan:

Although not a blog, this is the most incredible source of inspiration I have found!

Greatist The Greatist team have numerous writers who cover topics like:
- Healthy Food: Recipes, links to other blogs, summarised research findings and guest writers.
- Fitness and Exercise: Daily WODs (Workout Of the Day) designed by trainers, new research and relative findings (such as a summarised article on protein shakes, the know how and lo' down), and general random info such as 'how to choose the perfect sports shoe' or 'how to correct your posture'.
- Technology: Although this is not in the traditional sense of the word, Greatist provide their feedback and reviews on new phone apps; whether it be for a gym companion providing great advice on your workout whilst training, or an app that gives you tips on how to sleep and what they are developing to assist with monitoring your sleep patterns to get those perfect '8 hours a day'.
- What is not so awesome: I open Feebly (my new Google Reader since Google decided to close it down) to at least 20 new blog post from them each morning before work. I you don't read posts very often you may feel overwhelmed with how many there are.

- Kath Eats Real Food From beautiful meals, amazing photography and lovely stories about her family, Kath is a Registered Dietician and writes about the goodness within wholesome food. She loves a great glass of wine and I envy her exciting cheese and food tastings! A wonderful blog which promote a balanced lifestyle with family, food and lifestyle. I love nothing more than to see her posts in my Feedly reader!
- Holly Would If She Could This blog began as a way to stay motivated by being involved with the blogging community and the sharing of ideas. Although the blog began and was centred around loosing weight and finding a healthy way to do so; I love this blog as Holly has a compulsive need to write To Do lists and Goals for each month and she writes about the challenges faced when setting goals and how to surmount them. She has a great 'What to Read on Friday' post where she places links to all the articles, posts and unusual things she has enjoyed over the past week as well as her growing desire to read old-school library books - this post is always my favourite!

- Food Gawker Browsing for meals using photos is biased and easy. One, you judge the meal on what it looks like. And two, if you don't have a craving for deserts or sweet things after looking at their thousands of recipes, I commend you. FoodGawker lists all recipes with a small photo through which you browse. It pulls recipes from various blogs and websites and I have even found some recipes from blogs I follow on there! You merely click on the photo you like (they often provide a short dish description) and it opens another tab in which the original recipe and website/blog originates. You can search according to a dish (like lamb, desert or starter) or even a keyword (such as French), and it pulls all recipes which have those keywords.
